Halling suitcases through Milan is always fun

OK, first cool thing since i last wrote in here that happened was i used my british passport to enter Milan and skipped the biggest line (because i am part of the EU baby!). But i had to wait for Georgia and Jess anyway (with their punter Australian Passports) so really, it was pointless. But it was just cool to know that the passport actually works. I ordered it before my last Europe trip in 2009 and never used it so i never actually got to test it.

We are all veeeeerrrrryyyy tired and feeling disgusting. It is 5pm here now and would be 3am in australia. So we have now gone 27 hours without a shower and only about 4 hours sleep. The six hour flight went amazingly fast after the last 14 hour one and we flew over all these gorgeous mountains (which will be in the next video).

The metro in Milan is quite simple but still some how found it a struggle. I think when you have to lug your cases around anything is a struggle. And no thanks to this lady who was desperately trying to sell us a ticket she'd 'bought by mistake' but was 'still good'.  Me:  "Hmmmm smells like R Kelly's Sheets".  Just when we had concurred getting on the train and getting off the train without running into any stairs, (actually thats a lie, there were stairs but they had this weird conveyor belt that your put your case on), we turned the corner at Duomo station and there they were. and Lots of them. We began to cry (fake cry) when i noticed what was at the top of the stairs. Then it became a race to get to the top.

On our way in the train was long but interesting. In Georgia's words, everything looked so 'wintery' which was apparently surprising (?). lol but the houses and the neighbourhoods weren't the best. Then after being submerged in a series of underground networks we surfaced up the stairs into Piazza Del Duomo. Gorgeous. Utterly gorgeous. I dont know if we had watery eyes from laughing about halling our cases up stairs or from awe of what we'd arrived to and the realisation of what we're embarking on. We were a mess. I cant begin describe how happy we were. Toyota jumps were needed.

Ok at the risk of sounding shallow im just going to say it. Everyone is sooo good looking here. Woman and Men. and they all where sunglasses inside which i think is silly. But they are all very fashionista as well. But i guess this is the fashion capitol of the world. Must step my game up me thinks.

So anyway after conquerring the metro, Step three came: Find Hostel, Ostello Bello. Renound to be 'the best hostel in the world' by many websites. Expectations were high. The hostel definitely delivers though. Free Breakfast, Free drink upon arrival, free wifi and they will also 'give you laptop if you wish'. Now to go out and explore the city.

BRB Tara..........  Inlove

PS. There was also a man who gave me a unused ticket for free in the station and started talking italian at me. Had no idea what he was saying nor could i concentrate when i was mesmerized by him speaking italian. Italian!!! So i just gathered my own conclusion by the ticket he was shoving in my hand and said 'Grazia' and he went on his way. I totally had him thinking I was italian for sure.
