Walls. Exhaustion. Venice. Death.

Last night we all hit a wall. On the train home from Venice we were a mess. Even Jess was yawning and she's the vigilant one. I guess it didn't help that 'Colorblind' was my choice of song for the trip home. Too soothing. Counting crows puts you to sleep faster than counting sheep.

After the day around Milan and then yesterday getting lost in Venice we were bloody buggered (excuse the Scottish). We hit a magical high fortified medieval wall. Surrounded by a moat. There was no going forward. So today we decided to sleep in and take a relaxing day. Not to much exploring and walking because our little calves are sore :(

Venice yesterday was worth it though. Apart from the once off problem of my stomach forcefully trying to hit its self destruct button, the day was filled with wandering and daydreaming. Taking back alleys and getting Creeped out by the dark desserted ones, claustrophobic from the super skinny ones and annoyed by the long ones that led to dead ends. At the beginning of the day we set a challenge: we had maps but we weren't allowed to use them. We had to find the Querini Stampalia and san Marco all by ourselves. The first person who caved had to buy the others alcoholic beverages. Georgia and i immediately coughed, 'Jess' under our breath, where upon Jess became to claim she would not break.

We are all really tired. Had a few too many drinks of Limon Cello. Today we did nothing. Absolutely nothing and it was magical. We left to hostel at 2pm to go to the 7th floor of a department building to eat lunch and look out over the Piazza Duomo. Then we kept telling ourselves that we were on the way to see the 'last supper' mural but too many gorgeous shops distracted us until someone said, 'we should give up on trying to get there'. So tomorrow it is. Today was needed though. We were all so exhausted and now tomorrow we are going to start full force again. First up 'last supper', second parks and basilicas, second, sketching, third, saturday night drinks.

Did i mention our hostel is the best in the world??!?!?!?!? thats right!!! Stated the best in the world by Hostelworld.com and others. All i know is it has a kicking bar thats open to the public and is always packed.......... Adventures ahead, mwha ha ha ha ha ha haaaarrrrrr.
